Women and Leadership: What's Next?

18 Jan 2020 14:00 sampai 16:00 (Asia/Jakarta)

Based on the World Economic Forum’s Gender Gap Index, Indonesia is ranked at 10th; far behind other ASEAN countries such as the Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam. This data validates another data from the World Bank stating that women make up 20 percent of mid-level management position at a company, with only 5 percent of women chairing the position as CEO.

Reflecting the fact that Indonesia will face the demographic bonus in the upcoming years, several strategies need to be taken into account to make sure that the bonus is absorbed effectively. Among all of the strategies, women and leadership is an emerging issue to be discussed. In this “Muda Bicara” series, several speakers will share their insights related to women and leadership and its relevance to the demographic bonus in Indonesia.
